Creativity, Confidence and Physical Health Through Dance
The Teen Division is designed to inspire creativity, self-confidence and a live-long love of dance within a comfortable and motivating environment. Beginner and intermediate students have the opportunity to study with peers their own age. Students at least 11, that have taken one year of Level 1 ballet may be approved to take the teen classes. The classes promote strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment in an effort to prevent injuries, while creating self-esteem and physical health through movement.
Teen classes are taught to the level of the students taking the class. We are able to successfully handle multiple levels within the same class. We recommend all teen students take a weekly Progressing Ballet Technique class to further condition the body.
When referencing the list of classes, take the following in to consideration to determine the appropriate class in which to enroll your child:
- The student’s age as of August 6, 2018.
Contact us with any questions about registration or if you need help in determining class placement.
Please note: Age ranges are given as guidelines, and faculty may adjust placements as needed in the best interest of the student.
It can be hard to make it to class every week. Therefore, we now offer 5 or 10 Class Passes for our Teen Division classes so that dancers can drop in and take class when they are able to fit it into their busy schedules. Class Passes are available for purchase in the studio. See rates on the tuition page.
