“Dancing is creating a sculpture that is visible only for a moment.”

Progressing Ballet Technique at EVBA

The EVBA Difference

Our mission is to provide the highest quality dance instruction within an inspiring environment to promote a love and appreciation of dance. We not only teach authentic classical technique, but the art and discipline of dance as well. No matter your child’s goals and dreams, they can gain valuable skills that will last a lifetime through a quality dance education.

No Recitals, No Costumes, No Competitions

EVBA is not your typical dance school. Class time is spent improving form, strength, and flexibility. Our focus is on cultivating classical ballet technique not choreography for the next performance.  We challenge our students’ brains with new movements and sequences instead of making them memorize a routine. At EVBA, we focus on one thing, and one thing only: excellent classical ballet instruction.

Focus on Quality Ballet Instruction

Many dance schools focus on other forms of dance and throw in a ballet class as an afterthought. However, ballet is the basis of ALL forms of dance. Ballet teaches discipline, body control, and attention to detail that other forms of dance cannot. In order to perform jazz, modern, or lyrical correctly, a dancer must be properly trained in classical ballet technique.

Dancers with a strong background in classical ballet can easily transfer their skills to other forms of dance. We are the only school in the East Valley offering both AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum and Progressing Ballet Technique® classes. The combination of these two training systems is provided for optimal progression in classical ballet technique.

Class Size

We limit the size of each class to ensure individual attention and the best possible instruction for your child.

Safety First

A curriculum that focuses on developmental abilities, proper form, and alignment reduces stress on the body and helps prevent future injuries. In addition, each of our studios has “floating floors.” This lessens the risk of injury greatly over dancing on concrete flooring.

Partners with Ballet Fusion Fitness

Our school is in partnership with Ballet Fusion Fitness (BFF), the East Valley’s premiere studio for barre, fitness, and adult-only ballet classes. BFF offers the same quality training to adults. BFF and EVBA utilize the same studios and many times you can find a class that takes place during your child’s class.
